NISSAN CONSIDERING HYBRID/DIESEL OPTION FOR THE 2013 370Z!
2013 Nissan 350Z Plug-In Hybrid
The Nissan 370Z will be the latest high performance middleweight supercar which has hybrid plans for it’s next model update. Scheduled to hit streets in late 2012 or early 2013, the 2013 Nissan 370Z might be the fast and frugal customer if Nissan indeed chooses to equip it with an electric motor that will supplant the sweet V6 petrol engine of the 370Z.
Together, these twin sources of propulsion would be good for 360 horses and a gargantuan 600 Nm of twist force. While that would make for some really rapid motoring, what the hybrid option will do is, it will make you smile every time you head to gas up your 370Z as the 2013 model could deliver up to 12.75 KMPL.
Now that is a hatchback mileage number and one that will definitely have even the penny pinchers tipping their hats to. Coming to the other engine option which is also expected to be equally if not more frugal, the 2013 Nissan 370Z could pick up one of Mercedes Benz’s highly acclaimed Bluetecdiesel engines, in this case the 3 Liter, 210 Bhp-540 Nm, V6 Diesel engine.
So, sports car are definitely looking at getting faster as well as more frugal. And with the Nissan 370Z already selling in India, there’s a fat chance that the petrol hybrid plug in version of the 2013 370Z will make it to Indian shores alongside it’s global launch.
