HONDA TO RECALL 693,497 VEHICLES AROUND THE WORLD

Japanese car maker Honda is recalling it’s faulty vehicle this time around. According to Honda the defective spring parts were found in its Freed compact minivan, Fit ( Jazz in India) compact car and City sedan could deteriorate over time, resulting in abnormal sounds and in the worst case lead to stalling. The recalling of roughly 700,000 units includes 220,000 units in Asia (mainly the Southeast Asian ASEAN area), and about 156,000 in China. Around 97,000 units will be recalled in the United States. No accidents associated with the defect have been reported though.
Honda received 72 complaints from customers around the world, who complained about the defects their cars were suffering from. The other Japanese Giant Toyota also had 9 million recalls in 2009-2010. Compared to which Honda’s figures are small. Nissan also recalled 2.1 million vehicles in the past. There is no need to worry for Indian customers since cars in India have not been affected.
