The Indian economy is expected to grow at 8.75-9.25% in financial year 2012 according to the Economic Survey for the year 2011-12 announced on Friday. Robust growth and steady fiscal consolidation have been the hallmark of the Indian economy in the year 2010-11 so far. The growth rate has been 8.6% in 2010-11 and is expected to be around 9% in the next fiscal year.
