Bugatti Galibier Comes With An Optional Hybrid Power Train

Bugatti Galibier Comes With An Optional Hybrid Power Train

The Bugatti Galibier has been in the making for quite some time now and the could soon become a reality. The Galibier is an ultra-luxurious, super saloon built on the lines of the Bugatti Veyron, the difference being a four-door, four-seat layout. The engine at the heart of the luxo-barge is the same enormous W16 from the Veyron. So expect speeds close to Veyron territory.

Now, the new President and CEO Wolfgang Durheimer has announced that the Galibier will also come with an optional hybrid powertrain which sounds more practical than the Veyron’s 1001 bhp, W16 gas guzzler. However, we are not sure as to what difference this hybrid system could make for the person who buys this car . What we think is that, the VW group is attempting to keep the environmentalists happy by introducing a more fuel efficient option to the customers.

The policies of the European Union to could be a reason for this as every European manufacturer will now have to maintain an average emissions and fuel efficiency numbers across their range of products. 3000 units of the car will be produced sporting a price tag of £1 million and could be built at the Mulsheim’s factory.
