The 93-year-old Former South Africa President Nelson Mandela was admitted to hospital on Saturday morning due to suffering abdominal pains.
Mandela "is fine and fully conscious and the doctors are satisfied with his condition, which they say is consistent with his age," Zuma said. "We are happy that he is not in any danger."
After undergone a diagnostic procedure in hospital Nelson Mandela’s doctors said it was a long-standing health issue and not an emergency and is expected to be released from hospital by Monday.
