Hyundai Eon is based on the fluidic sculpture design of Hyundai and contains beautiful and aerodynamic curves with a very upmarket exterior styling, fit, finish and built quality. In terms of dimensions, its same in length, slightly less in height and wider when compared to Chevrolet Spark. However, Eon has a longer wheelbase.

Hyundai Eon Interiors Vs Chevrolet Spark Interiors:

In terms of Interiors, Eon feels very premium considering the price segment which it falls in. The quality of plastics, fabrics, build quality of the instrument panel, dashboard console etc. all feel good. In terms of space, the front seats ate quiet spacious with intelligent packaging of the car. The leg room at the rear seats is also very good, but the shoulder room seems slight cramped for three healthy adults, so is the case with Spark as well with respect to the rear space.

Spark also has good quality of interiors, fabric and comfortable seating on the front seats. However, because of low width, the rear seat does not feel comfortable for 3 passengers. The design of the interiors seems slightly plain if compared with the Eon. So in terms on Interiors, my vote goes to Eon.

The Spark has a higher displacement 4 cylinder engine which delivers higher power and torque but is slightly low on fuel economy. Eon delivers about 17% better fuel economy over Spark as per the ARAI numbers, which may be a lesser difference in the rear driving situations. This is a choice between power and fuel economy, so I leave this decision to you which is more important to you.

Handling and Performance:

Hyundai Eon is good on handling and ride comfort if we compare it with the small car from this price bracket. The Spark is also a good car in terms of ride comfort and handling. Both handle well and score average on this front, so we call it a tie.

Hyundai Eon is a better choice overall across the variants and starts at a much lower price. The Spark does offer a better engine and impressive handling, but looks dated and too simple in terms of features and style compared to Eon. Also Eon is more value for money considering the features and price.

Audi A8 (D4) SR 8 by Hofele-Design 2011 Performance & Features

 

Hofele Design has presented a similar but less powerful tuning package for the latest Audi A8 saloon [D4 series]. The German company's offering is called "SR 8" and it includes both styling and performance modifications.

Dubbed the SR 8, the model has an aggressive body kit with a new front bumper with RS5 mesh inserts for the grille and a rear diffuser. There's also a trunk-mounted spoiler, a sports exhaust system and a variety of 20- and 22-inch alloy wheels. Lastly, a suspension lowering module reduces the ride height up to 40mm at speeds less than 70 km/h (43 mph).

Inside, the cabin can be equipped with two-tone seats, carbon fiber trim and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.

As an option, Hofele Design offers carbon-fibre accents for the mirror housing and the rear diffuser.

Under the hood, the tuner offers an ECU upgrade that lifts the 4.2-liter V8 petrol engine's output from 372HP to 390HP, and the 4.2-liter diesel from 350HP to 390HP and sensational 900 NM..

Part of the Hofele program for the Audi A8 D4 is a variety of alloy wheels in the sizes from 9J x 20″ up to 10J x 22″.

Indulge yourself a bit more driving pleasure with the engine tuning by Hofele-Design. The engine software optimisation reveilles the unused reserves of the strong A8 engines.

The electronic speed-related lowering module ETS lowers the Audi A8 with air suspension up to 40mm. The system is only active on speeds under 70 km/h, on speeds over 70 km/h the system is deactivated to give the chassis its full comfort and security.

Hyundai Eon is a small form factor car with smaller length when compared to Alto K10 (but same as Alto 800 CC) but it slightly wider and more tall as well. In terms of exterior visual appeal, the Eon looks way better than the Alto. The Eon exterior design is based on the sculpted design language of Hyundai. From all angles, it looks more modern, sporty and more enthusiastic car compared to the Alto. The build quality and plastic quality of the Hyundai Eon seems better than the Alto.

Alto is a contemporary and old design by Maruti which is known for its subtle elegance and pleasing looks in its segment. With Alto K10, Maruti Suzuki did add some good elements in the front fascia and improved it quite a lot in terms of appearance, but overall, the Alto looks quite plain in front of a Hyundai Eon. Eon is smaller in length, but makes up for the loss if length by having a smaller engine compartment in length compared to the Alto.

So our vote goes to Eon in terms of exterior looks.

Hyundai Eon Interiors Vs Maruti Suzuki Alto Interiors

Hyundai Eon interiors don’t seem to belong to a 3 Lakhs rupees car, they look better than that, for the price segment, the quality, visual appeal and aesthetics on the inside of Eon are much better compare to simple and subtle interior styling of the Alto.

Alto has simple and sensible Interiors, but the quality of the material is just about average, but good enough for the entry level segment, but when we compare it with Eon Interiors, they seem quite plain and too subtle.

In terms of Interiors, Hyundai Eon is better compared to Maruti Alto and Alto K10.

Comparing the engine specifications, Eon seem to much better in terms of power, torque and mileage for the 800 CC Engine when compared with the Alto 800 CC. The mileage of Eon is also better than that of Maruti Alto as per the ARAI data. For entry level car, the Eon is much more peppier than the Maruti Alto.

On the higher price segment, if we compared the engine of Alto K10, it performs better than the Eon engine in terms of power and torque with slightly less fuel mileage. However, the K10 starts at Rs. 3.07 Lakhs, so if you are looking for a 3.1 Lakhs Plus car, then Alto K10 engine seems to be a netter option in terms of engine specs.

Handling and Performance:

Hyundai Eon is comfortable car to drive. The power steering is light and has been tuned for city driving, the feel of the steering weight is kind of consistent and the Eon is quite stable at cornering. The Suspension has been tuned keeping a balance between the ride and handling characteristics.

Maruti Alto on the other side is also quite comfortable for city driving, slightly soft suspensions, good ride comfort and decent handling with slight body roll at high speed cornering. For an entry level car, Alto does quite well.

For an entry level car, both Eon and Alto have got good ride and handling characteristics which make them comfortable for city commuting.
