Ford Ecosport Mini SUV Launched In India At A Starting Price of Rs. 5.59 lakh rupees

Ford Ecosport was launched in India today at a price of Rs. 5.59 lakh rupees (ex showroom Delhi). The all new Ford Ecosport’s price unveiled by Mr. Joginder Singh, at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Delhi. The Ecosport will be sold with in variants with the following trim levels: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium (Option).

Ford EcoSport MINI SUV unveiled with three engine options; a 1.0-litre petrol EcoBoost plus the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors that power the new Fiesta sedan. While the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine develops a maximum of 125PS of power, the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel units put out 112PS and 91PS respectively.

The 1 liter EcoBoost turbo petrol engine and the 1.5 Liter diesel engine get manual 5 speed gearboxes as standard. The 1.5 Liter petrol engine will get a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard with a 6 speed PowerShift dual clutch automatic gearbox available as an option. Only the petrol AT variant of the Crossover gets class leading features like Traction Control System,  Electronic Stability Control and Hill Assist.

It will be offered in both Manual and Automatic Transmission System. According to Ford engineers the automatic version of EcoSport has only two pedals (brake and accelerator) unlike manual transmission which come with five to six.
